Bob, a washed up Gen X’er, has to pick up a ton of pieces after his wife of 16 years leaves him after draping the divorce papers over the deli-bought dinner she so kindly left behind. He gets full custody of the five children he loves, as well as the minivan he hates.

After spiraling into a hole of despair and single parenting, Bob embarks on a journey of online dating to find the perfect woman. But once he finds her, in the most unexpected place of all, she might be more broken than he is. And then there are the five kids. And ex-wife drama. And his infamous dadbod. He’s not sure which of these might sabotage this journey first. Is there a woman on earth who can see past the surface? Aside from the woman in HR, because he will never put himself through that misery and weirdness again.
